Either way, we want to give you an insight into what an interview for a tech role looks like at 360Learning so you can decide if a move to 360Learning is the right decision for you.

In this article, we’ll show you what our tech recruiters will ask you at an interview, and provide you with a decision tree to help you assess if our culture is a good fit for you.

Interviewing for a tech role at 360Learning

As tech recruiters, our main focus is to conduct interviews as fairly as possible. All of our interview processes follow the same format to begin with, then we adapt them to the position you have applied for. We have a well-thought-through and structured approach that we believe gives you, the candidate, the best chance to shine.

Our initial questions start with ‘why are we speaking to one another?’ There’s really no trick here. We want honest answers that will help both you as the candidate and us as the recruiters understand whether 360Learning is the right environment for you.

Why understanding what you really want out of your career is crucial

Our tech recruiters want to know what drives you! ✨This isn’t something that will necessarily show up in your CV or Linkedin profile and that is why it’s one of the first questions we ask.

Together we will dig into these questions:

  • Are you actively looking for a job, or have you just started exploring?
  • Why do you want to leave your current job? If you’re not so sure about leaving, what would you like to change in your current job if you had a magic wand? 🪄
  • What gets you out of bed in the morning? (it’s ok to say “breakfast”)
  • What are the must-have and nice-to-have criteria in your job search?

These are precious clues that we like to collect that allow us to more clearly see what you really want out of your career. At the same time, it’s a great opportunity for you to take stock and focus on what’s important to you.

A decision tree to knowing if 360Learning is the right culture fit for you

Our culture at 360Learning is based on a set of working principles we call Convexity. Convexity promotes autonomy through defined scopes, quantifiable objectives, replacing authority with responsibility, and fostering flexible working.

Convexity is practiced in our day-to-day working life and forms the backbone of everything we do at 360Learning. That’s why it’s really important to know if this way of working is aligned with how you best want to work—Convexity isn’t for everyone. So, we’ve made a decision tree which will help you navigate our cultural principles, enabling you to decide if 360Learning is the right place for you.

Our tech recruiters will go through the decision tree with you in your interview. At the end of your conversation, you’ll know if 360Learning is a good fit or you’ll consider whether moving forward with us is the right thing to do.

It’s important to understand that this decision tree has been simplified for the purposes of this article. You may not be able to answer these questions with a resounding yes or no (in which case this is more than ok!) You might be thinking:

  • I don’t know (yet)
  • I need to see how it goes during the next interviews
  • I need a few days to think about it
  • Let’s talk again in a few months, now is actually not a good time

That’s everything you need to know about applying for a tech role at 360Learning. So, do you want to join the adventure? We’re looking forward to hearing from you! 😉
